Have Your Loved One Shine Through By Personalising The Funeral

Did your loved one regularly spend time at a certain place – a gym, a pub, the football ground? Well, we can arrange to have the hearse and any additional funeral cars drive past one of these places. Often we find other members of that establishment will look to arrange and gather outside to pay respects to their friend as they pass, which starts the day as a moving and honourable tribute to your loved one.

Did your loved one have a favourite song? Did they ever dance around the house to a certain song or is there a song that perfectly describes their personality in the lyrics? Or perhaps you are looking for a more traditional sound and would like to include some Hymns that they either liked or would fit on the day of their funeral. We can organise the arrangement of music or hymns for the funeral.

Although being bereaved, we have found some people are still able to stand up and provide a reading of some type. Many will write down their thoughts and what the deceased meant to them. Others will describe a funny or heartwarming story about the deceased to help others connect and remember them. We can also help by talking about the personality of your loved one in the service.

When your loved one has a strong personality or a very strong interest in something, you may want to put that across at the funeral. You could create a theme. If they were a big football fan, you may want to decorate the service with the colours of their team or instruct attendees to dress a certain way. It’s a great way to make the ceremony more of a celebration of the deceased and their passions.
